HICKORY, N.C. (May 10, 2014) – Josh Berry continued his strong start to the 2014 season campaign at Hickory Motor Speedway with a fifth-place finish Saturday night after earning the pole award.

For the second time this season, Berry claimed the top spot in qualifying with his No. 88 Speedco Chevrolet and settled into the top three early on. Late in the race, Berry grabbed the lead but could not hang on as a loose handling condition prevented him from claiming his third consecutive finish. He took the checkered flag fifth.

“The car really got away from me the last 30 laps or so,” Berry said after another solid finish. “Not what we expect or want, but sometimes you will have nights like that.”

Austin McDaniel, Ashley Huffman, Dillon Bassett, Justin Crider and Berry made up the top five.
