Radford, VA -- Josh Berry drove to a pair top-three finishes at Motor Mile Speedway Saturday night in the twin 125-lap races. Berry opened the night by matching his season-best finish at the .416-mile oval with a third-place effort in a race slowed only once by caution. A 10-car invert for the night’s final event forced Berry to start eighth. The defending track champion wasted little time working his way into the top five and up to third by the race’s lone caution at lap 96. Berry grabbed second place late in the race to take his best finish of the season at Motor Mile.

Reid Lanpher posted his best performance of the season at Motor Mile with 11th and 10th-place finishes, respectively. The rookie driver found himself solidly in 12th position late in the race and capitalized on trouble for another competitor to move up a position to 11th. In the night’s second event, Lanpher worked his way to as high as ninth before ultimately having to settle for 10th by the checkered flag.

“I'm really pleased with how our day went. In the first race, I feel like we just lost a little overall grip when the sun came out and the track heated back up. We just expected it to stay cloudy.

“In the second race we had to come from eighth after the invert. We just needed a little better drive off. I'm proud of our effort and I feel like we were just an adjustment or two away from a win.”
