Track Specs: .533-mile oval / 100-lap feature
Berry’s start/finish:  6tt/12th

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Josh Berry, sporting a new sponsorship from The Decal Source, started sixth in the 100-lap feature and was running there when he slipped in some oil dropped from a car that had blown an engine. He hit the wall as the caution flag was displayed for that mechanical failure and it ruined his night.

He brought the TDS Chevrolet to pit road a few times during the cleanup, trying to cure a broken wheel and a bad vibration. The JR Motorsports crew got it done, and Berry went back out with the idea of finishing as high as he could. Despite the vibration, which made it difficult to control and precluded him racing all that hard in traffic, he rode his Chevrolet home 12th in the 30-car field.

Myatt Snider won the race, followed by Jared Fryar, Justin Crider, Travis Swaim and Ricky Jones.

Next action for Berry is a June 3 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event at Anderson (S.C.) Motor Speedway.

Josh Berry, driver No. 88 The Decal Source Chevrolet team
"I'm pretty disappointed with how our race went in Bristol. The early contact with the wall just ruined our race causing that vibration that we couldn't fix. Luckily, we were able to ride it out and salvage a decent finish in the end. Big thank you to The Decal Source for coming on board this week, and we are going to continue to work hard to put them in victory lane."
