Hickory Motor Speedway, the venerable oval north of Charlotte, is always a place where JR Motorsports’ Late Model teams run well. That was the case Saturday night, with Berry finishing first and third.
There was a different format for the CARS Late Model Stock Car Series opener Saturday at Concord Speedway, but it didn’t matter. Josh Berry was still the winner. Berry, already the series’ all-time win leader, added to his lead with the victory.
After making contact with the wall late in the race, Josh Berry and the No. 88 SunEnergy1 team battled back to bring home a 13th place finish in his first start at Kentucky Speedway.
